As the college continued to grow, a pivotal moment arrived. Grace Lanceta, a Registered Nurse with a deep passion for both education and healthcare, assumed ownership of the institution. Under her leadership, CRD College of Health Care evolved in ways the Dalmacio family had once envisioned. Grace’s vision was clear: to transform the college into a globally recognized institution that prepares students for success in healthcare both locally and internationally.

A major milestone was achieved when CRD College of Health Care became a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) under Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the International Student Program. This marked a significant turning point, attracting students from around the world who sought top-tier education and a pathway to a career in Canada’s healthcare system. Grace’s dedication ensured that the college upheld its reputation by fostering an environment where students were not just taught, but nurtured.

Certified Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) Training at CRD College

CRD College is proud to be a certified provider of the Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA)—a person-centered, evidence-based dementia care program designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills to respond respectfully and effectively to challenging behaviors associated with dementia.

Led by Grace Lanceta, our certified GPA trainer, students will gain hands-on knowledge in promoting safety, empathy, and dignity in care. This certification is ideal for aspiring and current caregivers in long-term and acute care settings, ensuring they are prepared to provide compassionate and professional support.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification at CRD College

Mental health matters—and CRD College is committed to preparing students with the tools to recognize and respond to mental health challenges. Our Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training, certified by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, empowers participants to identify signs of mental health crises and provide initial support until appropriate professional help is available.

Training is delivered by Grace Lanceta, a certified MHFA instructor, ensuring each participant receives top-tier instruction and real-world strategies. This course is highly recommended for healthcare workers, community professionals, and anyone looking to make a positive difference in mental wellness.

NACC Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program – Certified and Career-Ready

CRD College proudly offers the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC)-accredited Personal Support Worker (PSW) program. Our 700-hour comprehensive curriculum includes 400 hours of in-class instruction and 300 hours of clinical placement, preparing students to provide safe, supportive, and respectful care in a variety of settings.

Under the guidance of Grace Lanceta, students will receive hands-on training aligned with national standards. Graduates of this program are fully qualified to support individuals in long-term care, hospitals, and community care environments—making a real impact from day one.
