January Recap: A Strong Start to the Year at CRD College

January was a meaningful and productive month at CRD College of Health Care as we kicked off the year with two valuable training events designed to support healthcare professionals in strengthening their knowledge and practical skills.

Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA)

We were pleased to offer our Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) training this January. This program focused on helping participants better understand responsive behaviors and use respectful, safe, and effective approaches when caring for individuals, especially in healthcare and support settings.

Participants gained practical strategies that can be applied in real-life situations, helping them build confidence in providing compassionate and person-centered care.

Medication Administration for IENs

We also successfully held our Medication Administration for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) training. This session provided important learning opportunities for IENs who want to improve their understanding of safe medication practices and strengthen their readiness for healthcare roles in Canada.

The training highlighted key principles of medication safety, accuracy, responsibility, and professional practice, giving participants valuable skills they can use in their careers.
