March was a dynamic and skill-focused month at CRD College of Health Care, featuring multiple hands-on training sessions designed to support both Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) and PSW students in advancing their clinical competencies.
IV Therapy & Phlebotomy for IENs
Our IV Therapy & Phlebotomy for IENs training provided participants with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in intravenous therapy and blood collection procedures.
This session focused on safety, accuracy, and confidence-building—key elements required for clinical practice in Canadian healthcare settings.
Donning & Doffing for PSW Students
For our PSW students, we conducted Donning & Doffing training to ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Students practiced correct procedures for putting on and removing PPE safely, helping them prepare for real-world clinical environments while maintaining high standards of infection control.
Basic Wound Care for IENs
We also delivered our Basic Wound Care for IENs training, where participants learned essential techniques in wound assessment, dressing application, and infection prevention.
This hands-on training helped strengthen clinical decision-making skills and reinforced best practices in patient care.
